FIRST THROWS, TOGETHER
Introductory courses for children and young people, and clinics for schools: discover ultimate through movement, play and respect.
INTRODUCTORY COURSES
Our introductory programmes help primary and middle school children discover ultimate through outdoor afternoon activities.
Learn to throw and catch the disc, move around the pitch and build play together. The aim is to discover a sport where cooperation and respect for the rules matter from the very first pass.
The April 2026 edition offered five lessons for middle school children at the sports centre on Via Buonarroti in Cernusco sul Naviglio. Dates for the next edition are yet to be confirmed.
We are planning our next course. Once the date is confirmed, we will publish the schedule and all the information you need to take part here.
SCHOOL CLINICS
A programme developed together with PE teachers.
Activities are adapted to the school’s spaces, classes and goals, during or after school hours. We combine drills, group games and matches, respecting each student’s pace of learning.
The programme introduces pivoting, catching, backhand and forehand throws, alongside basic defence and playing roles. We also give teachers tools to continue teaching ultimate independently.

Self-officiating develops communication, self-control and knowledge of the rules. Physical contact is not allowed.
Girls and boys can play together on mixed teams, cooperating and making the most of different abilities.
Throwing, catching and movement develop hand-eye coordination and the ability to read the game.
Our reference format is an introduction of three one-hour lessons per class. The duration and programme are agreed with the school to meet its educational needs.
We can use a gym or school courtyard. FDM supplies activity equipment, including discs, bibs and cones.
